The baseline out-of-bounds play outlined below provides a great entry into the Flex Offense to keep the defense off-balance. The “Double Stack” flex entry variation emphasizes a quick-hitter to your best shooter coming off a double screen on the baseline, with a secondary look to the post player flashing to the high-post.
Initial setup in double stack at each low post.
1 dribbles to left side to shift defense, then reverses back to right side.
When 1 reverses, 2 flashes to the wing off of a double screen from 3 & 5.
Immediately after screen, 3 flashes to weak-side elbow and 5 seals defender and posts up.
1 passes to 2 for jumpshot on wing, feeds 5 on the low post, or reverses the ball to 3.
If 1 reverses the ball to 3, effectively you are in the base Flex offense setup.
The guard-to-guard pass would trigger a back screen by 5 and flex-cut by 2..
If 1 passes to 2, 3 and 1 set staggered screens for 4 on the weak-side.
4 sprints off the staggered screens looking for the ball from 2.
